First, I couldn’t connect to MobileMe at all when I signed up for the free MobileMe account. When it did work, I was able to upload a 5MB PhotoShop file to iDisk – no problems with iDisk… Yay!
And my new email account at Me.com works too. Perfect.
Then, I plug in the iPhone and try to sync all my iPhone contacts up to MobileMe – Bad Idea. All of my contacts were erased from my iPhone! Gonzo, bye bye, see ya never. I was pissed.
Ok, no problem because I’ve got most of my contacts saved in Address Book. I’ll just copy and paste them into the MobileMe Contacts… And that worked. But it wouldn’t sync to the iPhone so all of my contacts are sitting in the MobileMe cloud and I’ve got an iPhone with no phone numbers in it!
For an hour I tried everything to get that sync working. Switching the Push feature to manual, back to auto, from every hour to every 15 minutes. Nothing worked.
And then… Poof!
All of my MobileMe Contacts disappeared! Holy Hell, WTF is going on?!??!

I thought maybe it’s the “secret” install of iPhone 2.0 software I installed before the official release. So I decided to erase my iPhone and start again using the “Restore” feature in iTunes. (That still doesn’t explain my Contacts dropping out of the Cloud!)
So, I’ve Restored my iPhone and it automatically downloaded the correct version of 2.0 firmware… and of course… MobileMe is having issues. I can’t even get into the Contacts or the Email account.
Phooey.
